Dear Friends,
The 2011 summer pool season is right around the corner! We look forward to another exciting tan fun filled season at CAFSC. I would like to take a moment to bring everyone up to speed on pool news and important dates for the start of the season.
Your CAFSC officers for the 2011 season are as follows:

As a certificate holder in good standing of CAFSC you are invited to participate in the semi-annual spring general membership meeting on April 28, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. This meeting will take place at Arrowhead Elementary School in the Cafeteria. We invite you all to come and meet your new officers to discuss our 2011 season. One very important item on the agenda for the April meeting is a vote to amend our by-laws to allow you to transfer your owner certificate. I hope you can see the benefit of this as it would allow you a new flexibility with your certificate. The original language of the CAFSC by-laws reads as follows: ARTICLE VI CERTIFICATE OF MEMBERSHIP
SECTION ONE – NATURE
(a) All Certificates of Membership shall be only for voting membership and shall be fully paid upon issue, nonassessable and nontransferable.
The proposed amendment to the CAFCS by-laws reads as follows:

(a) All Certificates of Membership shall be only for voting membership and shall be fully paid upon issue and shall be nonassessable. A Certificate of Membership shall be transferable provided that (1) the transfer has been approved pursuant to the procedure set forth in Article V, Section 3(a) above and (2) the application, annual dues, and a transfer fee approved by the Board of Trustees must be paid in full within thirty (30) days after written notification of approval.
Included in this mailing is a 2011 registration form. You may also print your own from our website www.cafswim.com. If you pay your membership dues in full by May 1, you will receive three guest passes. You may also pay in person during our Open House on Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. or on Sunday, May 22, 2011 from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Open House is also a great time to register for swim lessons, join the swim team, play a game of sand volleyball, or show a neighbor around the pool. Dues can be mailed to the pool at P.O. Box 62068, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Our website is full of information about current events. Take a look and see what’s going to be happening as we get closer to opening. You will find pool forms, party reservation requests, swim lessons schedules, swim team information, and special events calendars. You can even join our member’s forum to ask questions and provide suggestions. I look forward to another exciting year at CAFSC! John Settle
