Swim Team Info

Don’t miss an exciting fun filled summer with Hurricane Swimming!  The swim team provides a wonderful opportunity for your child to develop and strengthen their skills.   We would like to invite our swimmers and families back for another exciting Summer Swimming Program at Carolanne Farm Swim Club, and invite you to join the HURRICANES.  We are extremely proud of our program and have worked with the pool’s Board of Director’s in order to offer you unique activities that are guaranteed to make this year better than ever! The Hurricanes welcome all swimmers who have an interest in further developing their swimming ability.  Screenings will be conducted the first few weeks of practice to assess your swimmers level and group assignment.  In order for child to participate on the swim team they will be required to swim the length of the pool unassisted by June 17th.  Our coach’s will be available after practices to answer questions and concerns.   Parents are strongly encouraged to enroll their child into swimming lessons this spring.  This will help your child to prepare for the summer swim season.  Lessons are available through the Virginia Beach Recreation Centers and the YMCA.  Swim clinics are also available through USA Swim Teams such as ODAC, Tide and TAC.  Carolanne Farm will be offering swim clinics in mid June to help refine your swimmers strokes. In accordance with Virginia Beach Swim League regulations, in order for a swimmer to participate in any scheduled meet, they must have attended and participated in a minimum of three practices during the week preceding the Saturday meet.   Sign-ups are Sat. May 22nd, from 11am to 2pm and Sun. May 23rd from 1pm to 3pm.
